Management Shifts in Kozloduy NPP, Road Infrastructure, Railways

Some of the country's most important institutions would have new board members and managers

Today were announced some major shifts in the management in some of Bulgaria’s most important institutions.

The country’s sole nuclear power plant will have a new managing director – Mitko Yankov, who took different safety, exploitation and managerial positions since 1975. Previous CEO and board member Kostadin Dimitrov requested to be dismissed due to health matters.

At the same time, Agency Road Infrastructure announced that its current board chairman Eng. Sergey Mihalev was dismissed following mutual agreement. Regional Development Minister Liliana Pavlova appointed his colleague Eng. Lazar Lazarov to replace him, citing his experience in technical completion of infrastructure projects. Minister Pavlova expressed her belief in the positive effect of Eng. Mihalev’s work in developing some of the country’s most important projects.

Later on today it became clear that another infrastructure company – the National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC), would also see some management shifts. From the company’s office announced that Hristo Alexiev would take over the vice director position in the Strategy and Administration department. Alexiev was chosen after an official competition for the position was announced. Since 2007 he was first councilor of the board and then Deputy CEO of NRIC.
