BGFMA joined the initiative with two events – a public lecture in front of students in Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and a cocktail for the members of the association and official guests.

The lecture gathered about 30 students and who had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the range of facility management activities and learn about the importance of this field of business for the sustainability of organizations in the economical and environmental aspect.

The speakers in this educational event were board members of BGFMA including the chairman Tosho Kirov, the two vice chairs of the association Mariela Benovska and Goran Milanov, and Bisera Ivanova. It was emphasized that facility management is a holistic management approach and that the professionals in this field have to be management oriented specialists.

They made the students familiar with the scope of different facility management activities, the various building systems and important aspects such as communication with various players related to the lifecycle of a built asset, and information technology in facility management.
