Tasko Ermenkov was elected in the EEN Executive Committee

The Bulgarian State Energy Efficiency Agency (EEA) announced today that, on its annual meeting in Madrid on the European Energy Network (EEN), the Executive Director of EEA Tasko Ermenkov was elected to the Executive Committee of the organization, which consists of three representatives of national agencies of member countries. This is reported in the EEA expert Boriana Koeva-Uzunova, which participates in the annual meeting. The other two members of the Executive Committee are Thomas Kaberger -General Menager of the Swedish Energy Agency, President of EEM in 2010, and Alexander Fernandez - General Menager of the Portuguese Energy Agency, former president of the EEM during 2009.

EEA recalls that the European energy network was founded by 22 national agencies of member countries of the EC in 1991 on the recommendation of the European Commission. Its purpose is to promote sustainable energy best practice in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, the progressive change in behavior and energy of all actions that reduce the impact of climate change. EEN is the bridge and the feedback between the relevant DGs of the European Commission and national governments on energy efficiency, renewable energies and their impact on sustainable development and environmental protection, supplemented by the Bulgarian institutions. European Energy Network EEN by member agencies can use their experience and know-how of its members and to participate in joint international projects and events information.

EEA is a active member of the EEN operating since 2004, established as a valuable partner and enjoys the prestige - commented Boriana Uzunova Koeva-in information from the EEA. She stated that the line of EEN Bulgarian agency has participated in more than ten international projects with partners from the European network.
