Electric Vehicles forum will take place in Sofia this Friday
. The round table will also mark one year anniversary of the Industrial Cluster “Electric Vehicles”

Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA/BSK) and the Industrial Cluster “Electric Vehicles” (IKEM) announced that this Friday, October 29, a roundtable will take place on the topic “Cities in fight for electric vehicles”. Representatives from Sofia municipality, Bulgarian Academy of Science, BIA, IKEM, Bulgarian Sustainable Construction Council and others will be invited. The round table will also mark one year anniversary of the Industrial Cluster “Electric Vehicles”.

The purpose of the forum is to reach a consensus for starting a municipal program for development of electric vehicles as a mass means for transportation in Sofia, BIA announced. The participants will form ideas for programs, projects and proposals to the Sofia municipal council and the municipality in order to join the capital to the group of world cities that lead a consistent policy against climate change and in search for low carbon solutions.

The adaptation of “green cars” is already a fact, the message claims - in the next decades a significant rise of electric vehicles numbers is expected. Large automakers have prepared mass electric model for this rise, and the utilities companies, transport agencies and infrastructure contractors are being included in order to make the charging infrastructure. Consultancy companies are preparing to restructure entire value chains.
