ENTSO-G publishes the System Development Map 2017/2018

  • © Maureen,

The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG), in cooperation with Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE), has published the eight edition of the map illustrating the development of gas supply, demand and infrastructure over 2017 and the first quarter of 2018, GIE announced in a press release.

This high-quality map is updated on a yearly basis and is a widely used reference for European and non-European stakeholders alike. It provides useful, accurate and up-to-date information about the recent gas demand in European countries and the capacities in the European gas infrastructure.

Jan Ingwersen, ENTSOG General Manager, said, “Like ENTSOG’s Seasonal Reviews, the System Development Map informs about the last supply and demand trends, and is thereby a useful means by which market stakeholders can undertake analysis. We hope you visit our website to order the maps online or download the electronic version.”

Boyana Achovski, GIE Secretary General, commented: “GIE and ENTSOG members are jointly demonstrating, once again, their commitment to offer useful information to all interested parties, in a transparent and user-friendly way. We believe that the System Development Map will continue to be a reference and an important tool for the industry and the stakeholders.”

ENTSOG and GIE are committed to further enhancing the information provided on the map in the future and welcome feedback from stakeholders.

The map is available for download at the ENTSOG and GIE websites.
