Bulgargaz EAD has initiated a meeting with Gazprom Export, in order to initiate a negotiation procedure to amend the clauses of the Natural Gas Supply Contract, the state-owned company said. The meeting was held on September 28 in St. Petersburg.

Bulgargaz EAD has also discussed other commercial and technical issues. The next meeting between experts of the two companies is planned for November. “Bulgargaz EAD will promptly inform its clients and the Bulgarian public about the development of trade relations with Gazprom Export related to natural gas supply to the country ", assured the state-owned company.
The company also recalls that on May 24, 2018, the European Commission (EC) announced that it had adopted a decision making legally binding the commitments offered by Gazprom and thus ending the antitrust case against the company. By accepting the commitments under Article 9 of Regulation 1/2003, the EC terminates the proceedings without ruling on whether Gazprom has committed a violation (and without imposing a financial penalty), and Gazprom is committed to fulfilling the commitments.
From the published information it is clear that the commitments retained the originally proposed structure but have undergone changes in line with the feedback received from the stakeholders in the market test, including the proposals of the Bulgarian side.
Detailed information on the EC Decision and the commitments made by Gazprom can be found in the EC's Directorate General Competition. Pursuant to the EC decision, OAO Gazprom Export has deposited with Bulgargaz EAD a proposal for amendments and supplements to the Natural Gas Supply Contract which, according to the commitments made to the EC.
