As of January 30, 2018, the power distribution company in Northeastern Bulgaria ENERGO-PRO Grid AD changed its name to Electrodistribution North AD. The company is taking this step to meet the requirements of the European Directive 2009/72/EC and the Bulgarian Energy Act. Starting January 30, the new brand name "Electrodistribution North" will be used in all communications with the institutions and with the clients of the company, the distribution system operator announced.
Electrodistribution North AD continues to be part of the group of companies of ENERGO-PRO. The company will continue to maintain the electricity distribution grid in Northeastern Bulgaria and serve nearly 1 100 000 customers. The emergency telephone remains the same: 0 700 1 61 61. The addresses of the Customer Service Centers in Northeastern Bulgaria, where clients of the company can request services, receive information and submit requests or alerts, also remain unchanged.
As a leading investor in the Bulgarian energy sector, ENERGO-PRO keeps its commitment to development and continuous investment in the grid. ENERGO-PRO acquired the electricity distribution grid in Northeastern Bulgaria in 2012. The licensed territory of "Electrodistribution North" is about 30 000 square kilometers and covers 9 administrative districts - Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Dobrich, Razgrad, Ruse , Silistra, Targovishte and Shumen. The company manages and maintains an electricity distribution grid with a total length of 42,185 km.
