Bulgargaz CEO Nikolay Pavlov Steps In As Interim Energy Minister

Newly inaugurated Bulgarian President Rumen Radev named on Wednesday Bulgargaz CEO Nikolay Pavlov interim ministry of energy. Pavlov will be assuming the position until a new government is elected. Elections are scheduled for March 26, 2017.

Pavlov has a master’s degree in finance and international economic relations from the University of National and World Economy. Previously he has been financial director and board member of the state-run National Electricity Company (NEK), board member of ContourGlobal Maritsa East 3 TPP and Gorna Arda Hydro Electric Complex, and financial director at Bulgargaz.

Later on Wednesday the Bulgarian National Radio reported that current financial director of the state-run gas incumbent Bulgargaz - Stoyan Yanchev - will take over as CEO of Bulgargaz.
