The ultra low cost carrier Spirit Airlines finalized an order for 75 A320 family aircraft. The order follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) announced at the 2011 Dubai air show. Spirit’s order for 45 Airbus A320neo aircraft was booked on December 2011year . The airline placed an order for additional 30 A320.
The Spirit Airlines President and CEO Ben Baldanza said that the company is very pleased of A320 family aircraft. The aircraft have been successful from every perspective – economy, environmental impact, comfort and efficiency.
Spirit will triple its fleet with today’s order. The new aircraft will be used on growing network of flight in the in the domestic United States, Caribbean and Latin America. Spirit has not yet announced its engine selection for future A320neo aircraft.
