According to www.netindex.com Bulgaria is in the top 10, ranking 9th, in the chart for fastest internet access. This was announced during a press conference organized by telecom operator Mtel.

 

Mtel presented the progress of its GPON network which it develops with its recently acquired companies Spectrum Net and Megalan Network.

 

Currently the network has 850,000 customers nationwide, concentrated in Sofia, Devnia, Burgas, Varna, Plovdiv and their areas.
