The event will take place in Bulgaria this year under the patronage of the Bulgarian energy ministry, the Nuclear Regulatory Agency, Bulatom, and NPP Kozloduy

Today is the official opening of the 19-th international conference WiN-Global (Women in Nuclear) in the resort “Riviera”. This year the country hosting the event is Bulgaria with its national organization WiN Bulgaria. The topic of the conference this year is “Nuclear Technologies - to Build a Better World”. The event is under the patronage of the Bulgarian Minister of economy, energy and tourism Mr. Traycho Traykov, the Nuclear Regulatory Agency (NRA), the Bulgarian Atomic Forum (Bulatom) and NPP “Kozloduy”.

The conference will start with official addresses by Katya Minkova - President of WiN Bulgaria, minister Traycho Traykov, the MEP Vladimir Uruchev, the director of NRA Sergey Tsochev, the chairman of Bulatom Bogomil Manchev, the executive director of NPP “Kozloduy” Kostadin Dimitrov, the President of Win Europe Dominique Muillot, and the President of WiN Global Cheryl Boggess.

The program of the first day includes a special session about NPP Fukushima, chaired by the President of WiN Japan Junko Ogawa. The other topics of the event include lectures about nuclear safety, future development of nuclear technologies, application of nuclear technologies in medicine, etc.
