HOCHTIEF takes over facility management at Frankfurt high-rise Tower 185
Services being provided in Germany’s fourth-highest office building

At the beginning of October HOCHTIEF Facility Management signed a contract with Tower 185 owner and developer Vivico to handle technical and infrastructural facility management at the Frankfurt office building for the next three years. It was agreed that no details of the contract value would be disclosed.

HOCHTIEF’s duties at Tower 185 will include responsibility for the building control system and energy management. To this end, the Essen-based service provider will firstly be collating and evaluating the building’s energy consumption data, after which the facility management will be coordinated. Apart from this, the company will provide reception and gardening services, as well as a 24-hour on-call service.

The complex comprises a 200-meter high-rise which is currently under construction, as well as a plinth building which was already handed over to the client this month. Once completed at the end of 2011, Tower 185 will be Germany’s fourth-highest office building. The main tenant will be the auditing and consultancy firm PwC. Shell construction of Tower 185 was handled by Group subsidiary HOCHTIEF Construction.
