Bulgarian Customs Revoked License of Lukoil Refinery
Lukoil failed to install measuring devices on its tax warehouse connected to the main pipeline transporting fuels from the refinery to Sofia

Bulgaria’s Customs Agency announced later yesterday that it revoked the license of Lukoil Bulgaria EOOD for its tax warehouse which is connected via a pipeline with the oil storage at Iliantsi, Sofia, and goes via other oil placement spots in Karnobat, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, Vetren and Ihtiman. This is the main pipeline that delivers fuels from the Lukoil refinery near Burgas, on the Black Sea coast, to the capital city of Sofia.
In its official statement the Customs Office explained that Lukoil Bulgaria OOD failed to comply with orders to install measuring devices in the warehouse. Lukoil also did not respect the deadline until March 31, 2013, for installing measuring tools on places précised in the excise duty goods regulation.
This is not a precedent for Lukoil refinery. In 2011, the Customs Agency revoked the license of Lukoil for running its Rosenets oil port over similar incompliances and breach of order for closure of the Rosenets facility. Speculations about rising of fuel prices and difficulty of fuel deliveries form the refinery in the country swept the media.
