10.02.2011 15:21Bulgarian Students Win Sustainable Architecture Contest
The final judging at the Design Against the Elements (DAtE) event took place in January

Students Nikola Enchev and Stephan Vankov won 1st place at the Design Against the Elements 2010 contest in the category Students, which took place in Manila, the Philipines, dnevnik.bg reported.
The two students built their concept around the integrated low-cost technologies which guarantee easy fitting of the elements made of bamboo and concrete. The hexagon was used as basis geometric shape of design.
Design against the Elements is an international contest for sustainable architecture. It presents international solutions aimed to help the poorest countries which often find themselves severely touched by typhoons, floods, drought and other natural disasters.
