The 3rd international conference on the UNICREDS project for partnership between universities for regional development will take place on January 18, 2011, at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. The project was realized within the framework of the EU program INTERREG IVC. The project aims to prove how different educational models can contribute to the regional economic development.

The recent development and results of UNICREDS will be presented during a series of additional meetings and seminars on January 18-20. The preliminary schedule and registration form can be found at gis.gea.uni-sofia.bg/index.php/en/ggfnews/83-unicreds.

The main subject of the conference will be the role of education in regional development and enhancing of employment in the underdeveloped EU regions, including Bulgaria.

Bulgaria’s Ministry of regional Development and Public Works and Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski established partnership with 15 foreign institutions from the UK, Sweden, Hungary, Bulgaria, Scotland, Finland and the Czech Republic.
